MODEST MOUSE

A few of us went to see Modest Mouse the other night and despite Isaac Brook nearly losing his voice they played an epic set. They even played this tune...



If you're too young to remember this was a Toy Machine advert in the middle of Zero's Misled Youth video back in '98. They were both part of Tum Yeto in those days. Even Bam's got some sick tricks on there!

Manny Mania Finals 2009

Ben Rowles made the trip down to London on Saturday for the finals of Manny Mania 2009 and got 2nd place!!! Amazing work considering he was up against the likes of Kris Vile, Nicky Howells, Craig Smedley, Sean Smith, Avi......

Creature Berrics Halloween Edit

Ben Rowles Gets 2nd!

Ben Rowles and Lloyd went over to Sheffield on Saturday for the Manny Mania Qualifiers. From what I've heard they both smashed it and Ben Rowles came away with 2nd place and a handsome £200! It also means he's earnt himself a place at the London finals on the 28th. Amazing considering he was up against some of the UKs best. Good work boys!

Goin down to south park ....

Me, Ad, Richie, Lewis, Dunc and Bambi went and checked out the new South Park skate park in Macclesfield over the weekend. It's a sick little park despite a few bits which weren't quite built right. One of the locals told us they're trying to get these sorted out too. My favourite bit is the bank with painted curb coping - it's amazing for slashing out 5-0s and tailslides. Good work to everyone involved in making this park happen. I got a few snaps on my phone...

Pumpcage Birthday bash

Get yourself down to the skate park on wed 26th august to celebrate its 5th birthday. The park will be open to skate and BBQ the night away. Doors open 12-9pm £2 all day games of skate and best trick comps etc will go down. Also the park will stay open a few weeks until the repairs get under way.

New blood

Little bro to one off Manchester’s O.G skulls collective and local skater to his own drive way Jay Stone will be repping Projekts skate shop as of right now.

Changing of the Guard

After a good few years of riding for Projekts skate shop Chris Barrett has decided to move onto pastures new. Me and Ben would like to thank Chris for all the years of riding for our shop and wish him well with whatever he decides to do in the near future.

With this news flow rider Ben Rowles has stepped up to fill his spot on our team and we have also decided to inject some new blood into the mix as well.

Projekts skatepark closed for repairs

The park will be closed from Friday 17th July for at least 3weeks so that repair work can be carried out on the fire damage done to the park and bridge. Please keep checking this blog for future updates about when the park will be reopened.

Fire in the Hole!

WHAT THE FUCK!!!!
Last night someone set fire to the skate park between 2-3am, more than likely it was someone from the local area that did it. Due to the damage that was coursed to bridge the skatepark might get shut down for good, until we know more the park will be open as normal until further notice. we will keep you updated.
